Francois Hollande: Rusia şi China blochează demersurile ONU pentru Siria. Putin vrea ca Siria să rămână apropiată de ţara sa  Foto: INTACT Images/EPA Preşedintele francez François Hollande a declarat sâmbătă că încă mai este timp pentu a se evita războiul civil în Siria, apreciind că acesta este "cel mai rău" scenariu, relatează AFP. Rusia şi China "blochează orice rezoluţie a Consiliului de Securitate" al ONU care încearcă să găsească o soluţie la violenţele din Siria, a deplâns preşedintele în cadrul interviului său televizat din 14 iulie, Ziua Naţională a Franţei. "I-am spus acest lucru lui Putin, care vrea ca Siria să rămână apropiată de ţara sa. Există relaţii comerciale, istorice, iar eu le respect", a explicat el. "I-am spus că cel mai rău este să avem un război civil în Siria. Prin urmare, să facem în aşa fel încât să găsim o poziţie politică pentru a evita războiul civil. Mai este încă timp", a continuat el. Hollande şi Putin s-au întâlnit la 1 iunie la Paris. Potrivit preşedintelui francez, conferinţa Prietenii Siriei din 6 iulie de la Paris a "permis să se reunească jumătate din ţările de pe planetă şi să se afirme că trebuie continuate presiunile pentru ca Bashar al-Assad să plece şi să aibă loc o tranziţie politică". Comunitatea internaţională a cerut vineri ONU să acţioneze împotriva escaladării violenţelor din Siria, după moartea a cel puţin 150 de persoane în centrul ţării, opoziţia denunţând un masacru, în timp ce regimul susţine că a fost o operaţiune antiteroristă.
