As footie fever grips the globe, a host of artists have collaborated with Pepsi Max on the concept album Beats of the Beautiful Game.

All of the songs are accompanied by a short film, so not only are recording artists including Rita Ora, Janelle Monae, Timbaland and Kelly Rowland involved, but also established Hollywood heavyweights such as Spike Lee, Diego Luna and our very own Idris Elba.

Here's an exclusive sneak peak of Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland recording her track, The Game, as well as a video directed by Spike Lee.

In the intimate video a surprisingly un-blinged Kelly reveals her passion for this project.

“This song is such an impactful song. The feeling around it, the lyrics are just so empowering.” 

Although football isn't a major sport in the US, Kelly reveals that she recently went to a match to see what all the fuss was about and the experienced inspired her to make The Game.

"My first actual soccer experience was so loud and thunderous and i wanted the song to have that same effect," she said.
