Was anyone desperate for a sequel to Planes? That hasn’t stopped Disney rushing into production with Planes: Fire And Rescue in which plucky, death-defying Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook) volunteers to train as a firefighter at Piston Peak National Park and once again proves his true grit.
The aerial sequences are undeniably impressive as Blade Ranger (Ed Harris) and his team soar through skies choked with flame and smoke but the slender plot is very ordinary and the corny gags come thick and fast.
