Nokia to boost IoT with 5G connectivity

Finnish telecom giant Nokia Networks has reportedly said that it would be showcasing the possibilities of mobile connectivity especially for the Internet of Things (IoT) with 5G as part of the upcoming Mobile World Congress in 2015.

The live demonstrations reportedly includes 5G radio equipment that would be on new millimeter and centimeter wave bands for similar capacity as that of new frame structures for achieving single-digit millisecond latency.

The company says that thus critical new security capabilities would be required for the device and network levels associated with it.
