Facebook vrea să se extindă către piața smartphone-urilor. Reţeaua de socializare ar urma să lanseze în această lună un telefon mobil sub marcă proprie. Potrivit presei internaţionale de specialitate, în cadrul unui eveniment care se va desfăşura pe 15 ianuarie, Facebook va prezenta jurnaliştilor primul smartphone al companiei.
Reţeaua de socializare a trimis invitaţii către jurnaliştii din Statele Unite pentru a participa la un eveniment special care se va desfăşura pe 15 ianuarie. Invitaţia accentuată de mesajul „vino să vezi ceea ce construim” este privită de către presa de specialitate drept o rampă de lansare oportună pentru Facebook. De câţiva ani diverse publicaţii online au susţinut ideea potrivit căreia reţeaua de socializare lucrează la un smartphone sub marcă proprie, prin care compania îşi doreşte să concureze cu Apple, celebrul producător iPhone.
